Milojko Spajic, Prime Minister of Montenegro

Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajic has arrived at KCCG, where individuals injured in the Cetinje shooting have been hospitalized. He informed TVCG that four individuals are critically injured and are undergoing surgery.

– This is an unimaginable tragedy that affects us all. All police units are currently on-site. We are pursuing the perpetrator and are making good progress. Medical staff are striving to save the lives of four individuals at KCCG; everyone is fighting for their survival – stated Spajic.

He declared a three-day mourning period.

He emphasized that penalties for illegal possession and carrying of firearms must be strengthened.

– Our municipalities are facing a significant shortage of police. We will initiate a recruitment campaign for police officers without waiting for a decision from the Council of Europe; more details will follow – he highlighted.
