Decline of Industrial Production in Montenegro

The industrial output in Montenegro for the second quarter has declined by 20.6 percent compared to the same period last year, according to data from MONSTATA.

“When compared to the second quarter of the previous year, the Ruda and Stone Drawing Sector saw a decrease of 0.5 percent, while the processing industry and the electricity supply sector—including gas, steam, and air conditioning—plummeted by 47 percent,” the ministry reports.

In comparison to the first quarter, industrial production in Montenegro fell by 37.4 percent.

“Relative to the first quarter, the sector involved in ore and stone extraction dropped by 31.9 percent, the processing industry by 11.7 percent, and the electricity supply, gas, steam, and air conditioning sector decreased by 64.4 percent,” the statement concluded.
