Primorac Proves His Superiority
Primorac has finally claimed the title, and the story of coach Vjekoslav Pasković illustrates both the uniqueness and the extraordinary nature of the sport. Midway through the season, he unexpectedly took over the team following Zoran Maslovar’s exit, and led the Kotorans to a trophy they’ve been yearning for since 2008.
“It was clear we were a unified team; I emphasized that from my completely unplanned and somewhat chaotic arrival. For two years, I was focused on entirely different pursuits. When I joined, one of my first requests was to bring in a sports psychologist, and I am grateful for that,” Pasković shared with RTCG.
He added:
“Finding the right words is challenging; there are so many emotions involved—winning the title with Primorje as a player, and then achieving it again as a coach… I want to thank the players, the coaching staff, sports psychologist Tanja Mitrović, and the president for making this incredible offer,” Pasković remarked.
Jadran coach Petar Radanović graciously congratulated his rivals:
“The initial match was a bit dull, but the following two were outstanding. We couldn’t defend our title despite our efforts, but at this moment, Primorac showed they were the stronger team. The return of Nemanja Vic and the addition of top player Draško Brguljan added depth, calmness, and structure to their attack. We couldn’t hold them back. Hats off to the Kotorans for their well-deserved title,” Radanović stated.
