A governmental plane from Republika Srpska (RS) departed from Tel Aviv last night, taking off from Ben Gurion Airport at 21:32 and landing at Belgrade Airport around 1:20 AM, as reported by Sarajevo media citing data from the ADSBexchange website, which tracks global air traffic in real-time.

According to reports, the aircraft was transporting the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who departed Israel ahead of an Interpol decision to issue an international arrest warrant against him.

Dodik attended the Conference on Combating Anti-Semitism in Jerusalem. Israeli media reported that following a request from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Interpol for an international arrest warrant, officials urged Dodik to leave the event.

Previously, Dodik had indicated he would return to BiH next week.

Reports from Sarajevo suggest that there is a possibility for Dodik to return from Belgrade to BiH, specifically to Banja Luka, prior to the issuance of a red warrant.

The Court of BiH has formally requested that Interpol issue an international arrest warrant for both Dodik and the Speaker of the RS Parliament, Nenad Stevandić, on suspicions of committing the criminal offense of “attacking the constitutional order of BiH.”

This decision came after both individuals left BiH without adhering to the legally required border control procedures.

The Court of BiH has reiterated that it is within the jurisdiction of the National Central Bureau of Interpol to issue an international arrest warrant.

If such a warrant is issued, law enforcement agencies in 196 countries would be obligated to detain them if they enter their territories.
