Slovenia Outshines Montenegro Once More

The Montenegrin futsal team faced a defeat yesterday in Ljubljana, losing to Slovenia 5:1 during the fourth round of Group 4 of the EURO 2026 qualification main round.

Goals for Slovenia were scored by Matej Fideršek, Uroš Đurić, Luka Čop, and a brace from Igor Osredkar. Montenegro’s sole goal came from Luka Vuletić.

“We had another poor performance, where Slovenia outperformed us in every aspect of the game and rightfully secured the win. We showed almost no fight; we were anxious and unfocused, losing the ball in critical situations, which the opponent capitalized on skillfully,” stated coach Sveto Ljesar on the FSCG website.

Montenegro will continue its qualification journey on April 10th, hosting Hungary.
