Average Electricity Bill in Montenegro Stands at €43.77

The average electricity bill for households in Montenegro for July, excluding unmetered locations that are not permanently inhabited, stands at 43.77 euros.

“Households in Pljevlja had the lowest average expenditure at 20.36 euros, whereas those in Ulcinj recorded average expenses of 79.33 euros,” reported the elector of Elektranslia (EPCG) according to the MINA agency.

The company indicated that 55.1 percent of households will receive bills of up to 30 euros, while 18.9 percent of consumers fall into the 30 to 50 euro category. Additionally, 7.8 percent of customers are recorded with bills exceeding 100 euros.

“The number of consumers benefiting from the discount is 177,730, accounting for 44.9 percent of households in Montenegro,” the statement added.

In July, households consumed a total of 152.49 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, representing an increase of 39.2 percent compared to June, and a rise of 11.38 percent when compared to consumption in July last year.
