The Budva volleyball team took the upper hand in the final series of the EPCG Super League, securing a 3:0 victory over Buducnost (25:19, 25:21, 25:23) and maintaining their home court advantage as the top team entering the playoffs.

After two thrilling sets where Budva trailed for significant periods against the Podgorica team, the defending champions ensured there was no doubt by the end. Dejan Radić’s squad had a four-point advantage multiple times during the first and second sets, but they struggled to keep it against their more seasoned opponents, who gradually closed the gap, finishing the sets with confidence.

With an impressive start to the crucial stage of the match at MSC Budva, Miljan Bošković’s team made it clear to their opponents—who were missing their star player, Ivan Zvicer—that they were not going to let any surprises occur at the beginning of the series. In a tightly contested segment, the home team maintained the lead and eventually triumphed on their third match point, scoring 25:23, despite Aleksa Nikolić’s attempt to equalize at 24:24.

Budva’s captain, Balša Radunović, stood out as the top performer in the match, contributing 16 points. Close behind was young Vasilije Milenković with 15 points, and Miro Miljanić also reached double digits with 13. For Buducnost, Luka Lojić led with 14 points, while Aleksa Nikolić ended the match with 13 points, and Miodrag Jelić added 10. Both teams fielded several young Montenegrin talents, including 15-year-old Filip Milosavljević for Budva and the even younger Aleksa Radić on the opposing side.

The second match is scheduled to take place in Podgorica at the SC “Morača” on Friday at 19:00 PM.
