Mediterranean Volleyball Team Claims Victory in EPCG First League

The Mediteran volleyball team has clinched the EPCG First League of Montenegro title for the 2024/2025 season, securing their place in the prestigious EPCG Super League.
Based in Budva, the team showcased exceptional performance throughout the season, finishing first in the southern region of the regular season with only a single loss. During the mini-league of the First League, Mediteran achieved a remarkable 10 victories, concluding with a win against Mornar with a score of 3:1 (25:13, 23:25, 25:13, 25:19), the same team that handed them their only defeat of the season under coach Ćorluka.
Anastasija Kovačević delivered another outstanding performance, scoring 31 points, while Milica Obradović provided crucial support with 27 points. Mitra Gudelj also contributed with 15 points. On the opposing side, Baranci’s Karolina Karavan scored 12 points and Natalija Daniljuk added 11 points.
Ksenija Božović, director of the women’s national teams of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, presented the gold medals and the championship trophy to the winners of the First League. She also awarded medals to officials Jasna Rosić and Vladimir Perazić for their officiating during the matches.
Rudar secured second place and will compete for a chance to join the Super League through a playoff match against the ninth-placed team, Jedinstvo. The first leg of the playoff will take place in Pljevlja on April 22nd, followed by the return leg in Bijelo Polje a week later.
In the 10th round, teams Net and Rudar, along with Tempo and Gorštak, will clash in a bid for the best possible ranking in the standings.
