President of the United States, Donald Trump, has declared that Mark Brnović will be the new ambassador of the U.S. to Serbia.

Trump stated, “I am delighted to announce that Mark Brnović will serve as our next U.S. Ambassador to Serbia. He is a dedicated National Guard veteran and has previously held the role of Attorney General in Arizona. Being the child of refugees from communist regimes, Mark will be an unwavering advocate for freedom and will prioritize America’s interests. Congratulations, Mark,” via a post on Truth Social.

Brnović, whose father hails from Montenegro, served as Arizona’s Attorney General from 2015 until 2023 and is affiliated with the Republican Party.

He will take over from Christopher Hill, who was the ambassador until January.
