“Pejaković and Limeova Abandon Weapons in Vehicle: New Insights into Brutal Execution – News”
Investigators discovered the remnants of two rifles in a burning vehicle, which were utilized in the liquidation of Petra Lipovina and Žarka Pejaković.
According to News, it was also uncovered that the car was stolen and contained French license plates.
“Three individuals were involved in the attack – the driver and two shooters. They unleashed gunfire from both sides of the vehicle, using what are referred to as steel projectiles,” stated a source for the publication.
One source claims that investigators recovered one of the rifles the following day, and attempts were made to retrieve the others from the car yesterday, as the fire had been concentrated within the vehicle…
The 26-year-old Pejaković was shot dead at the entrance to Podgorica after the attackers unleashed a barrage from their “BMW”.
Armed men in masks waited for their targets just after 3 PM near the roundabout and the intersection of the main roads Podgorica – Cetinje – Nikšić, where they opened fire. They subsequently fled in a stolen “Renault”, which they set ablaze in Mareze.
They later switched vehicles, and reports indicate that the police are aware of its ownership. During interrogation, a Podgorica resident stated that the four-wheeler had been sold and mentioned the name of the alleged new owner, who is noted in police records as a person of interest.
According to police sources, Lipovina was a high-ranking member of the Cetinje branch of the Kavačka criminal group and had been driving the BMW CTBB271, which was riddled with bullets.
Reportedly, the other victim – Pejaković – was linked to Tom Klana.
This investigation first emerged at the end of 2023, and the subsequent inquiry was hampered last year due to a legal timeframe of three years, during which no initial verdicts were issued in organized crime cases.
It is believed that the assassins of Pejaković and Lipovina may have been inadvertently caught in the aftermath as they attempted to flee after the liquidation.
Victims were shot with over 30 bullets
Ana Kalezić, the prosecutor of the Second State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica, stated that, based on current information, the perpetrators of this crime used automatic weapons.
“More than 30 shell casings were found at the scene. The identities of the perpetrators have not yet been established, and we currently cannot provide more information regarding their involvement,” stated Kalezić.
