The police in Podgorica have detained a 43-year-old man, identified as GM, on suspicion of threatening RTCG journalist Dušanka Pejović.

According to the Police Directorate, Pejović reported the incident to the police after GM made insulting remarks and threats that caused her to feel endangered.

“As per the report, while Pejović was in front of a residential building, an unidentified male approached her with offensive and threatening language. He then moved closer and continued his threats, heightening her sense of fear. Fearing for her safety, she contacted the police, who promptly responded and located GM (43). He was subsequently taken to the police station for questioning,” the police stated.

GM has been arrested at the request of the on-duty prosecutor on suspicion of committing a criminal offense of endangering security.

He will be taken to the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica today for further proceedings.
