Vasilije Adžić and the Youth Team Pursue Historic European Championship Journey.

Nenad Vukčević, the head coach of the Montenegrin youth football team, has unveiled the roster of players set to compete in the elite round of the European Championship qualifiers.

Notably, the squad features Vasilije Adžić, a midfielder from Juventus.

This tournament is scheduled to take place from March 19th to 25th, with Montenegro and Georgia facing off against Slovakia and Poland as well.

For the tournament in Georgia, Vukčević has called up 20 players, including:

Goalkeepers – Ognjen Milović (Kom) and Tomaš Đurović (Iskra);

Defense – Zarija Kumburović, Miloš Vračar (Podgorica), Bodin Tomašević (Bologna, Italy), Aleksa Karadžić (Iskra), Lazar Šekularac (Jedinstvo Franca), Lazar Maraš (Dečić Admiral bet), and Maksim Đukić (Budućnost);

Midfield – Vasilije Adžić (Juventus, Italy), Stefan Đukanović (Petrovac), Danilo Ćetković (Sutjeska), Andrija Bulatović, Danilo Vukanić, Andrej Camaj (Budućnost), Marko Perović (Almeria, Spain), and Vuk Vlahović (Dinamo, Croatia);

Attack – Marko Tadić (Partizan, Serbia), Filip Perović (Iskra), and Andrej Kostić (Budućnost).

Montenegro will kick off the elite round tournament against Slovakia on March 19. Three days later, they will take on Poland, followed by their final matchup against Georgia.

The top team from this group will secure a spot in the European Championship to be held in Romania from June 13th to 26th.

Coach Nenad Vukčević expressed his optimism, stating that the Montenegrin national team is heading to Georgia with the aim of achieving a historic qualification for the European Championship.

“We recognize the challenges ahead, with three tough games to play. The first match is crucial; it will guide our path for the rest of the tournament. After that, Poland, who we believe is the strongest team in our group, awaits, and we finish against Georgia, who will be striving for their own advancement as hosts,” Vukčević commented.

He anticipates a bold Montenegro that will strive for victory in every match during the tournament.

“We are conscious of our abilities, remain optimistic, yet grounded. We hope this generation will showcase its talent and achieve a landmark result,” added Coach Vukčević.
