“Should You Face an Attack, We Stand Ready to Assist”
Renowned Yugoslav basketball star Vlade Divac has expressed his solidarity with the students who are currently protesting in Serbia.
In one of his posts, he conveyed a supportive message to the students, and in another, he shared content from Partizan supporters.
“On March 15th, the gravediggers will be on the streets of Belgrade to safeguard their beloved students. If you face any assault, we will stand together,” announced by Divac alongside the message from Partizan fans.
A significant protest is set to take place in Belgrade on Saturday, March 15th.
Students, who have been staging blockades at universities across Serbia for over three months, are urging for a demonstration in Belgrade to demand accountability for the criminal and political negligence behind the tragic deaths of 15 individuals in the November 1, 2024, collapse of the concrete canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station.
