The trial of Rajko Božović, a 30-year-old from Berane, for attempted murder was postponed today at the Higher Court in Bijelo Polje. The postponement came at the request of his defense attorney, Lazar Aković, who cited scheduling conflicts due to other trials.

On November 4, 2023, at 3:25 a.m., in front of the “Trepča” restaurant located in the Trepča settlement of Andrijevica municipality, Božović allegedly attempted to intentionally kill Mirko Ivanović and Slobodan Zonjić. He reportedly fired at least two shots from an unidentified brand pistol, caliber 62mm, directed at Ivanović, with one bullet striking him in the right thigh and another in the left ankle, inflicting serious gunshot injuries.

Following this, as noted in the indictment, Božović fired several shots towards Zonjić, but missed as Zonjić managed to evade the bullets by throwing himself to the side at the time of the attack.
