Young Water Polo Players Aged 16 and Up to Face Slovenia in Quarterfinals Against Australia
The U16 water polo team of Montenegro has achieved their third overall victory at the World Championship held in Malta.
Nenad Vukanić’s squad triumphed over Slovenia with a score of 22:6 (5:2, 6:0, 7:3, 4:1) in the final match of Group F, securing their place in the knockout round as group winners.
The team will face Australia in the first knockout round on Friday at 17:45.
Prior to their match against Slovenia, our team had also bested South Africa with a score of 18:6 and Egypt at 12:4.
Andrej Golubović led the scoring today with five goals, followed by Danilo Roganović and Luka Savić, who each netted four goals, and Stefan Vraneš, who contributed three.
Luka Todorović and Andrej Durutović each scored two goals, while Petar Brnović and Danilo Savović added one goal each to the tally.
