“2: A Journey to Break Free from Napoli”

Monza managed to hold Inter to a 1-1 draw earlier in the season, and they came very close to replicating that performance in a match where they netted two goals, even if their threats to the champions were limited.

The “Nerazzurri” proved their standing as favorites the hard way, overcoming a 0:2 deficit to clinch a 3:2 victory. Now, the spotlight turns to Napoli, who will host Fiorentina on Sunday at 15:00 PM, trailing the leaders by four points.

Inter had several promising opportunities while the score was still 0:0, including a disallowed goal from Lautaro Martinez, before Birindelli, following an impressive play with Motta, put the visitors ahead in the 32nd minute.

Even finding themselves at 0:1 was unexpected, and what can one say about Monza’s stunning 2:0 lead established by Balde’s remarkable goal, a former Inter forward?

The atmosphere at “Meaci” hinted at an upset, but Inter unleashed a champion’s response – they pressed on, with Arnautović halving the deficit before halftime, which fueled their momentum.

Çalhanoğlu equalized in the 64th minute with a stunning shot, making the score 2:2. The comeback took an unusual turn as Inter forced their opponents into an own goal, with Kyriakopoulos inadvertently redirecting the ball into his own net after a clash with Lautaro.

The reaction time of the goal technology was slightly delayed, but there was no doubt – the ball had only just crossed the line by a few centimeters as Turati attempted to intervene.

Inter then had a couple more significant chances to wrap up the match (Thiram hit the post), but in the end, it worked out well for Simone Inzaghi’s squad.
