Koković announces list of young volleyball players, gathering on April 11th

Koković Reveals Roster of Young Volleyball Players for April 11th Gathering

The U16 women’s volleyball team of Montenegro will convene in Stara Pazova on April 11th for their preparations ahead of the second round of qualifications for the European Championship, scheduled to take place from April 25th to 27th in Maribor.

Our youngest volleyball talents will compete in Group A alongside the host nation Slovenia, as well as Slovakia and Romania.

There are 18 players selected by coach Petar Koković.

Technicians: Nađa Peković (Budućnost Volley), Staša Jovović (Luka Bar), and Maša Moračanin (Budva); service receivers: Elena Jovanović and Jana Šćekić (Budućnost Volley), Sara Striković (Galeb), Jelena Ćorović (Gimnazijalac), Mia Podjanin (Net), and Jana Mrdak (Budva).

Correctors: Klara Đukić (Budućnost Volley), Jelena Glušac (Albatros), and Đina Lekić (Budva).

Middle Blockers: Sofija Duletić and Bojana Krasnići (Budva), Minja Mišević (Galeb), and Selma Muratović (Luka Bar).

Libero: Anđela Rajović (Budva) and Andrijana Moračanin (Jedinstvo).

A total of 11 teams will advance to the European Championship: the top two teams from each of the five groups, in addition to the best third-place team.

The European Volleyball Championship for women’s under-16 teams (born in 2010 and younger) will take place from July 2 to 13 in Tirana and Pristina, featuring 16 of the continent’s premier teams.

Coach Koković’s staff will include Nikola Radomirović and Andrea Laković as coaches, Jovan Ristić as the fitness coach, and Ognjen Marković as the statistician.

Jovo Caković, the head coach of the women’s senior national team, will oversee the entirety of the team’s preparations and qualifications, providing support in nurturing the young talent.
