Yesterday, Manchester City faced a setback by losing to Nottingham Forest (1:0), which complicated their standings, while Chelsea capitalized on this error today, breaking their two-match losing streak.

The London club secured a victory against Leicester (1:0) at home, propelling them into the Champions League zone and surpassing the current title holders in the league table.

Chelsea had an excellent opportunity to score just 22 minutes into the match when they were awarded a penalty, but Cole Palmer couldn’t convert. This marks his first miss from the spot in the Premier League after previously scoring 13 times.

Palmer’s goal drought continued, as his last Premier League goal was against Bournemouth on January 14. He has since played seven matches without finding the back of the net.

In contrast to Palmer, Mark Kukurela made his mark by scoring in the 60th minute, thanks to an assist from Fernandes, securing the win for Chelsea.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, squandered a chance to further their Champions League aspirations by drawing 2:2 with Tottenham away from home today.

The Cherries initially led 2:0 with goals from Tavernier and Evanilson but couldn’t secure the victory. Tottenham equalized with goals from Sar and Son, both from penalties.
