Montenegro’s Handball Team Triumphs Over North Macedonia

The Montenegrin women’s handball team is set to compete for ninth to twelfth place at the World Championship for players under 20 years old in North Macedonia.
In their second match of the main round last night, the Montenegrin handball team emerged victorious against North Macedonia with a score of 26:23.
They began the main round with a setback against Iceland, which put them out of contention for the quarterfinals.
The home side made an impressive start, jumping to a 5:0 lead, and finished the first half ahead at 12:10.
In the second half, coach Igor Marković’s players showcased a remarkable performance, taking the lead in the 36th minute (14:13) and maintaining a four-goal advantage several times until the final whistle.
Jelena Vukčević was instrumental in Montenegro’s third victory in five matches, netting 13 goals, while Anđela Milošević contributed five.
Goalkeeper Marija Marsenić made a significant impact, recording 12 saves by the end of the match.
