The Montenegrin water polo team secured a victory over Romania with a score of 10:6 (1:2, 2:2, 5:1, 2:1) during their second round match in Šabac.
This marks the second win for Vladimir Gojković’s squad in the tournament, following their convincing triumph against Germany, where they won 14:7.
Montenegro clinched the win against the Olympic participants, Romania, after a stellar third quarter, executing a 5:0 run that propelled them from a tie at 5:5 to a commanding 10:5 lead.
Leading the scoring for Montenegro was Stefan Vidović, who netted three goals. Jovan Vujović contributed two, while Vasilije Radović, Danilo Radović, Dimitrije Obradović, Vladan Spaić, and Aljoša Mačić each scored one goal.
On Saturday, Montenegro will compete in two matches—against Australia at 11:45 AM and Serbia at 8:45 PM.
A match against France is set for Sunday, marking the tournament’s conclusion at 5:15 PM.
