The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vulin, confirmed in the Serbian Parliament that members of his Socialist Movement obstructed N1 today, stating that “it won’t be challenging for them to return, if we haven’t listened to them properly,” as reported by N1.

A group of approximately a hundred individuals, primarily from Aleksandar Vulin’s Socialist Movement, blocked the entrance to the courtyard where N1’s offices are located for an hour and a half today. The N1 editorial office received considerable support from employees of nearby companies in “Airport City,” along with other citizens who chanted slogans such as “Pump”, “Saturday”, and “Sing the anthem”…

During the Assembly session today, Vulin did not conceal that members of his party were present in front of our editorial office.

“They came to convey that there is another Serbia, a voice rarely seen on their cameras, seldom featured on their shows, and whose opinions are usually met with insults and threats… a Serbia that feels marginalized, a Serbia often overlooked,” Vulin remarked.

He expressed that party members aimed to demonstrate that “there exists a Serbia which they fail to comprehend, and in fact, do not love, but rather hate.”

“And it fears neither them, nor their hostility, nor the aggression of their leaders. That Serbia stood in front of N1 today,” Vulin noted, sarcastically adding that he anticipates the EU and journalist organizations to issue a statement “so that, heavens forbid, an alternative viewpoint remains unheard.”

“Our aim was to highlight the hypocrisy prevalent in our media landscape, where all forms of hatred are accepted and rewarded, but only if directed against President Vučić and his allies,” Vulin stated, warning that it would not be difficult for them to return if we did not heed their message.

“This situation can be simply resolved – through dialogue and discussion. The parliamentary benches will fill with opposition, classrooms with students, and lecture halls in our faculties with scholars and students, leading to a normalized life,” Vulin expressed, adding that afterward, elections will come to either replace or back the government.
