Dragan Pavlićević, a 65-year-old citizen of Montenegro, was extradited to Montenegro today after being arrested on an international warrant in Turkey.

A warrant for his arrest was issued to secure his attendance in criminal proceedings underway at the High Court in Podgorica. He is suspected of committing crimes related to the formation of a criminal organization and the unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotic drugs.

Pavlićević is accused of being part of an organized crime group alongside individuals such as Radoje Zvicer, Leon Drešaj, Ivan Delić, Radul Božović, and Vuk Vulević…

The Police Directorate stated: “Pavlićević, as a member of an organized crime group, is included in the indictment alongside Zvicer, Drešaj, Delić, Vulević, and Božović due to their involvement in a criminal organization responsible for international drug smuggling, as stated in the indictment from the Special State Prosecutor’s Office under the operation codenamed ‘General’.”

The extradition was conducted by officers from the NCB Interpol Podgorica with the support of the Special Police Unit.

“The individual mentioned was untraceable by Montenegrin law enforcement until July 27, 2024, when he was located and arrested in Istanbul based on operational and intelligence information from the Montenegrin Police Directorate,” the statement elaborated.
