The company “Srbijavoz” has announced its readiness to resume train operations following safety checks prompted by reports of possible explosive devices.

Traffic was halted by “Srbijavoz” after an anonymous tip was received last night regarding explosives on intercity trains. The company is working closely with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) to investigate the matter.

In addition, counter-sabotage inspections are currently underway for all trains across Serbia.

These inspections are reportedly nearing completion, and the Ministry of Interior is expected to grant approval for the resumption of train operations promptly, paving the way for regular rail services to restart.

“All employees in our traffic services are present and prepared to restart the trains once we receive the green light,” stated “Srbijavoz” in their announcement.

This morning, the public company “Srbijavoz” confirmed that it has suspended all intercity train services in Serbia in an effort to “ensure the safety of passengers and crew.”

As noted in a statement released early Friday, the company received an anonymous call reporting that explosive devices had been placed on intercity trains.

“We are compelled to temporarily cease all intercity train operations to prioritize the safety of our passengers and crew,” the statement on the “Srbijavoz” website indicated.

“Srbijavoz” emphasized its intensive cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior “to resolve the ongoing situation.”
