The enhancement of collaboration between Montenegro and France, along with an active political dialogue, underscores the dedication of both nations to reinforce their alliance within NATO and foster a vision of a more stable, secure, and prosperous Europe, stated Foreign Affairs Minister Ervin Ibrahimović.

He engaged in discussions with Benjamin Haddad, the Minister Delegate for Europe at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is currently on an official visit to Montenegro.

Ibrahimović remarked in a media statement that Haddad’s visit further validates the commitment of Montenegro and France to advancing their interstate relations and strategic partnership.

“Our bilateral interactions have reached an unprecedented intensity, achieving the most dynamic cooperation since the inception of our diplomatic relations in the past year,” Ibrahimović noted.

He emphasized that the opening of the Western Balkans Cyber Capabilities Center symbolizes this cooperation.

According to Ibrahimović, today’s partnership has been further solidified with the signing of various agreements across multiple sectors—ranging from enhancements in police and civil security to reforms in public administration, culture, and education.

“The intensified cooperation, along with active political dialogue, reaffirms our mutual commitment to fortifying the NATO alliance and contributing to a vision of a more stable, secure, and prosperous Europe,” Ibrahimović stated.

He highlighted that Montenegro’s commitment to swiftly becoming a European Union (EU) member adds special significance to this endeavor.

Ibrahimović also added that Montenegro receives substantial support from France in its EU membership aspirations.
