Nebojša Vukanović, a representative of the “Justice and Order List” in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, reported that his car was set ablaze last night in front of his home in Trebinje, as per Radio Television of Republika Srpska (RTRS).

“Shortly before midnight, someone ignited a fire under my vehicle, which was completely consumed by flames. Surveillance footage shows an individual wearing a cap dousing my car with gasoline and a flammable liquid before igniting it, resulting in total destruction,” Vukanović stated.

The incident was reported to the police thirty minutes past midnight.

Firefighters responded and successfully extinguished the flames, while the police have launched an investigation into the event.

The Trebinje Police Department has confirmed that a fire erupted in a vehicle owned by an individual identified by the initials NV in Trebinje.

The police were alerted to the fire at midnight, and the District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Trebinje has been notified accordingly.

On the same night, members of the National Assembly of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity of Republika Srpska (NSRS) approved a draft of a new RS Constitution, which proclaims this entity as a state and grants it the right to self-determination. The Council of Peoples of RS and the Vice Presidents of RS are to be abolished as part of this reform.

The newly adopted draft also eliminates the citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in favor of exclusive entity citizenship, and it includes provisions for entering military alliances with other countries as well as the right to form a confederation with another state.

Plans for the reformation of the RS Army and the establishment of the RS High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, responsible for appointing judges and prosecutors in this BiH entity, are outlined in the draft.

A total of 50 MPs from the ruling coalition backed the adoption of the Draft of the new RS Constitution, with 58 MPs present in the voting session.

Most opposition MPs were absent during the voting process, and all members from the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) had been removed from the session beforehand.
