Primorac Defeats Rivals in LŠ Group Stage, Jadran Triumphs in Qualifiers
The upcoming season of the Champions League in water polo might feature a group stage with two teams from Montenegro, depending on the Adriatic outcomes.
Novljani have discovered their opponents in the qualifiers, while our champions, Primorac, have secured a spot in the group stage as they are the title holders of the European elite.
The balls have drawn Kotorani against the 2018 European champions, the Greek powerhouse Olympiakos, who finished third last season.
Alongside Olympiakos, the group for Primorac will also include Savona (who were eliminated by Jadran in the Eurocup’s round of 16 last season), as well as the winner of qualifying group D, which features Sabadelj, Ortiđa, Šabac, and Pai d’Aix.
In terms of qualifications, Jadran is placed in group A, facing the neighboring giant Jug, along with Barcelona, Dinamo from Bucharest, and Banja Luka.
If Novljani advance from the qualifiers, they will find themselves in group C, which includes Barceloneta, Marseille, and Vaša.
