Montenegro: Over 1,198 Weapons and 39,103 Ammunition Rounds Collected Since January

Since the start of January, the Management Board of Montenegro has voluntarily surrendered a total of 1,198 firearms, 39,103 ammunition rounds, 132 hand grenades, and various weapon parts and explosives.

As per the Police Directorate, during the campaign “Hard life, returns weapons”, there have been voluntary returns including 16 firearms, nine ammunition pieces, detonators, explosives, gunpowder, and components of firearms.

Citizens from Podgorica, Danilovgrad, and Cetinje have surrendered 18 pistols and 10 rifles to the police, alongside 951 hand grenades, seven detonated cash pistols, ignition sticks, gunpowder, and explosives.

In Bar, Herceg Novi, and Budva, a total of 11 firearms, 832 various types and calibers of ammunition, and parts of weapons have been voluntarily surrendered.

From the regions of Bijelo Polje, Berane, Plav, and Kolašin, 10 firearms have been reported, including two pistols and eight rifles, along with 220 ammunition rounds and two weapon frames.

In Nikšić, Plužine, and Pljevlja, five weapons were voluntarily surrendered, consisting of four pistols and one rifle, 82 rounds of ammunition, and two frames.
