“Jadran Dominates in Zagreb, Taking Major Step Towards F4; Buducnost Triumphs Over Vukovi”

The Jadran Mtela water polo team triumphed over Mladost for the second time this season, marking a significant step toward qualifying for the final tournament of the regional Premier League.

Under the leadership of Vladimir Gojković, the team celebrated a 13:9 victory in Zagreb, achieving their seventh consecutive win.

Jadran’s only defeat this season was a narrow 1:0 loss, and they led 7:4 at halftime, extending their lead to 11:5 by midway through the third quarter…

Vasilije Radović starred in the match, netting five goals, while Dmitij Holod, Uroš Vučurović, Jovan Vujović, Danilo Radović, Strahinja Gojković, Aleksandar Ivović, Matija Sladović, and Danilo Stupar contributed to the score for Zagreb.

With this victory, Jadran has secured third place over Radnički with a match still to come, boasting a five-point advantage over fifth-placed Mladost.

“We faced a direct rival for a place in the Final Four. We started the game strong, with the players fully focused from the outset, which was crucial. We are now in a rhythm of playing every three days and will concentrate solely on the upcoming opponent,” Gojković commented.

In the A1 League, Buducnost clinched three vital points in their quest for a playoff spot.

Aleksandar Aleksić’s squad defeated Vukovi from Novi Beograd 14:12 in Podgorica, placing them in a tie for second place in the standings.

David Stevović and newcomer Damjan Vujičić each scored four goals, Goran Grgurević contributed three, while Andrej Durutović, Marko Bošković, and Vladan Vukićević added one goal each.
