Mornar Barsko Zlato clearly lacks the quality to compete in the AdmiralBet ABA League, as they were thoroughly outplayed by Cedevita Olimpija in “Stožice” during the 18th round, with a final score of 114:72 (38:18, 25:15, 22:22, 29:17).
MIHAIL PAVICEVIC’s squad found themselves trailing by 20 points after the first quarter (38:18), and the home team took a commanding 30-point lead into halftime.
As the match progressed, Zvezdan Mitrović’s team eased off the pressure, with the third quarter ending in a tie at 22:22, but they regained their dominance in the fourth quarter with a solid performance.
For Mornar, the standout player was Čiko Carter with 17 points, shooting 4-for-3 from beyond the arc. Other notable contributions included Roko Rogić with 12 points, Lovre Runjić with one less, and Noah Tomason adding 11. Lovre Buljević narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with 10 points.
The hosts had a balanced scoring effort, with every player contributing, and Slovenian Gregor Glas leading the way with 20 points.
After their fourth straight victory, Zvezdan Mitrović’s team has climbed to fifth place in the standings with a record of 11 wins and 7 losses, while Mornar is at the bottom with just one win.
