In what could be deemed the toughest moment of the season, the Budućnost Voli basketball team has discovered their rhythm.
Andrej Žakelj’s squad maintained their winning streak that began with a significant victory over Partizan in Belgrade, defeating Dubai 89:78 in the 15th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League.
“I was concerned that after the exhausting trip to Poland and back, our energy would wane in the second half, but the response was remarkable. The players pushed themselves to their limits, maintaining focus. Congratulations to the team; this is a significant victory for us,” said Žakelj during the press conference.
His team has now achieved their sixth consecutive victory…
“This serves as motivation for our next game, as sustaining this rhythm is quite challenging,” Žakelj added, continuing:
“We dominated the rebounds, secured more offensive boards, and converted those into easy points – I believe we rightfully earned this win. I wish Dubai the best for the remainder of the season.”
The match at “Morača” took place during a time of mourning in Montenegro due to the tragedy in Cetinje.
“Once again, on behalf of the club, I want to extend my condolences to everyone affected by the recent tragedy,” Žakelj reiterated.
