After a super important victory against the direct playoff competitor, the Vukovi, came a new one in which Buducnost had no room for error, and the answer was right.

The water polo players of the Podgorica club defeated Zemun in the 12th round of the Regional A1 League – at the SC Morača pool, the score was 15:8 (4:1, 3:4, 5:1,3:2).

The debutant in the second tier of the regional competition thus continued to maintain second place in Group B, which ultimately led to the playoffs.

Aleksandar Aleksić’s boys, apart from a slight relaxation in the second quarter, practically controlled the events in the pool throughout the entire match and routinely scored new points in the end.

“Blue and White” quickly reached 5:1 on the wings of Matija Brguljan, the guests from Zemun threatened at 6:4 and 7:5, but Buducnost “flew” to 4:0 with a 11:5 run in the third period and practically solved the question of the winner…

Brguljan led his team to victory with four goals, and was followed by David Stevović with three and Goran Grgurević with two, while Mihajlo Ivanović was excellent in goal with nine saves.

Buducnost shares second place with Vukovi in ​​Group B, but is better than the team from Novi Beograd. If the Podgorica team maintains that position until the end, they will end up in a new mini league for promotion to the Premier League, along with the undisputed group leader Stari Grad.

There, they should expect two matches each against Medvešćak and Mornar, and the best of the four teams from the mini league will advance to the higher tier, while the second-placed team will face a play-off with the penultimate team in the Premier League.
