Galatasaray footballer Victor Osimhen has said he plans to sue a Turkish journalist after allegations that he physically assaulted him during an argument.

Posta journalist Tolga Bozduman accused Osimhen of attacking him last week after a 3-3 draw against Dynamo Kiev.

The journalist said that Osimhen attacked and punched him outside a nightclub while he was taking photos with other colleagues.

“As soon as the flashes came on he started screaming and ran towards me. He tried to grab the camera, but I held it back, and then he punched me in the head. The right side of my head still hurts,” Bouzdman said.

He added that Osimhen allegedly offered him money to delete the photos, and when the journalist refused, the 26-year-old footballer allegedly began threatening him, saying “he will destroy him if the photos are published.”

The Nigerian footballer denied the allegations and pointed out that the incident occurred outside a restaurant he visited with a couple of friends.

Osimhen denied hitting the journalist, but admitted asking him to delete the pictures.

“I never hit that guy, I didn’t hit him, I went to him and told him to delete the pictures. It’s my picture, I have the right to tell him to delete it,” Osimhen said.

Osimhen has indicated that he will sue the journalist.

“This is not news to me. I knew they would lie, lie, lie. This is a case of violence, and he lied. Of course, it won’t be easy. I don’t have to shout, but I will take the necessary steps to ensure myself. If I hit him, he will get justice. If he lied, then he will see the wrath of the law,” Osimhen said.
