The police in Bijelo Polje have submitted a criminal complaint against the “Milka MDK” dairy and its responsible person, MB, over suspicions of environmental pollution.

The authorities took action following a report from the NGO Euromost, which alleged that the dairy was releasing wastewater into the Lim River.

The Police Directorate stated, “In coordination with the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Bijelo Polje and after receiving findings from the Center for Ecotoxicological Testing, which indicated elevated levels of ammonia, nitrates, lipophilic and other substances, the police submitted a criminal complaint against the aforementioned legal entity and MB, the person responsible, based on suspicions of environmental pollution.”
