Rogavopoulos Joins Panathinaikos Basketball Team
Greek basketball player Nikos Rogavopoulos has officially joined Panathinaikos, as announced by the Athens club today.
Rogavopoulos (201 cm, 24 years old) arrives from Baskonia in Spain, where he played for the last two seasons. During the last EuroLeague season, he averaged 9.7 points and 3.9 rebounds in 19 minutes per game across 33 appearances. In the Spanish ACB league, he recorded 8.9 points and 3.3 rebounds, contributing to Baskonia’s playoff run.
Born in Maroussi, Rogavopoulos started his career in the youth system of the Doukas club and made his professional debut with AEK Athens.
Afterward, he played for Promiteas before transitioning abroad. In the 2022/23 season, he played for Turkey’s Merkezefendi, where he emerged as the team’s leading scorer, leading to his transfer to Baskonia.
Rogavopoulos is a consistent member of the Greek national teams, having participated at all youth levels and making his senior team debut in 2021.
