This morning, the train scheduled to depart from Bar to Podgorica at nine o’clock was halted, prompting the organization of alternative bus transportation for passengers.
Similar arrangements will be in place for the subsequent trains set to leave Bar towards Podgorica and Bijelo Polje at 11:36, 14:13, and 15:30, should the strike by certain workers of the Railway Infrastructure of Montenegro (ŽICG) in Podgorica continue.
The Bar Railway Station confirmed this to “Vijesti”, stating that buses will be available for travelers intending to visit other Montenegrin cities by train as per the regular schedule.
Train operations were suspended today as over 80 train dispatchers, remote control dispatchers, and traffic dispatchers initiated a strike, asserting they will not resume work until the ŽICG management engages in discussions regarding a salary increase.
