The municipal enterprise “Wastewater Collection and Treatment Podgorica” has provided details regarding the proximity of the new Wastewater Treatment System (SPOV) planned for Botun in relation to nearby residential areas.
The new SPOV will be developed as a state facility of general interest on a designated urban site spanning 13 hectares, situated within the industrial zone of the Podgorica Aluminum Plant (KAP).
According to their statement, “The site is positioned between the KAP complex and the local road that links the neighborhoods of Dajbabe and Botun, located on cadastral plots owned by the Capital City.”
Furthermore, they highlight that the site’s designation, per the current detailed urban plan, is for industrial use.
Distances to the closest individual structures, both inside and outside the industrial zone, have been provided.
“Distances from the future SPOV within the industrial zone include: 141 m – an abandoned house; 241 m – a house under construction, not intended for habitation; 338 m – an unregistered house; 369 m – another unregistered house; 439 m – a registered house without encumbrances or restrictions; 499 m – a registered house also without encumbrances or restrictions,” stated the municipal company.
“Outside the industrial zone: 696 m – an unregistered house; 729 m – a registered house with land usurpation issues; 847 m – a registered house with an existing illegal structure; 1,384 m – the core of the Botun settlement,” they added.
The enterprise mentions that the documentation required for the construction includes an analysis of potential impacts on residential buildings and the surrounding environment.
In light of this, they have established preventive measures and mitigative strategies to ensure that impacts remain within legally permissible limits.
“The documentation has incorporated measures recognized by relevant national laws, as well as additional strategies verified as effective in similar facilities,” the report states.
