Cocaine, Opiate Pills, and Ammunition Confiscated in Berane

Police in Berane have confiscated cocaine, marijuana, opiate pills, and ammunition during various operations in the area, according to the Police Directorate.
Reports indicate that officers found a small PVC package with a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine after stopping SB (23) while he was riding a motorcycle.
Tests revealed the presence of cocaine and marijuana in SB’s system, leading to his arrest for violating the Road Traffic Safety Act.
A criminal complaint has been filed against SB under suspicion of unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotics.
Moreover, the Police Intervention Unit in Berane also investigated AJ (30), another motorcycle driver, who had two opiate pills on him at the time.
He declined to undergo a test for psychoactive substances and was arrested for a violation of the Road Traffic Safety Act, as stated in the report.
Regarding the opiate pills found, a misdemeanor charge was filed against AJ on the prosecutor’s orders from the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Bijelo Polje for breaching the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
According to police reports, officers executed a search at the family residence and outbuildings of SB (25) in the Buče neighborhood of Berane upon an order from the Basic Court.
“A total of 23 rounds of ammunition of various types and calibers were recovered,” the statement noted.
Additionally, the ammunition has been sent for forensic examination as per the prosecutor’s directive.
The police also announced that they’ll be filing charges against RB (64), the father of SB, for illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
