Citizens Urged to Avoid Negative Comments and Posts Disrupting Public Peace Following Temple Incident
The Police Directorate has urged citizens to avoid making negative comments and posts that could further disrupt public peace.
This announcement came following an incident that took place last night in front of a temple in Podgorica.
“We urge the public to refrain from negative remarks and posts that could agitate the community, particularly considering the sensitive nature of the location where the incident occurred. It’s important to note that this criminal act, and its resulting impact, do not appear to be a premeditated act of violence. The perpetrator is currently in unique circumstances and is receiving medical care at the KCCG,” the police stated.
Since last night, images of several women sharing the same first and last name as the suspected offender have been circulating on social media, accompanied by derogatory comments.
Jelena Radonjić (44) has been identified as the person suspected of injuring two individuals with her vehicle on the plateau in front of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica.
According to law enforcement, she is currently under observation at the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
Turkish national Kurshu Borben (44) sustained serious injuries and is also being treated at the Clinical Center, while Jovana Radović (22) suffered minor injuries.
