Croatian basketball player Mateo Drežnjak has departed from Buducnost Voli after a single season and is making his return to SC Derby, as announced by the club.
Drežnjak plays as both a fullback and a winger, having been with SC Derby from 2022 to 2024. During his time with the “students,” he secured the ABA Super Cup and the Montenegrin Cup in the 2023/2024 season, and was named MVP of the Cup finals.
The Mostar native moved to Buducnost last summer, but after one season, the two sides parted ways, allowing Drežnjak to return to his previous environment.
Previously, he played for Široki Brijeg and Cibona, and he is also a member of the Croatian national team.
Prior to Drežnjak’s return, SC Derby welcomed Justin Turner, Darius Johnson, Balša Živanović, Aleksa Ilic, Zvonimir Dujaković, and Geer Davis.
