Construction Work Underway for the Reconstruction of the Risan–Ledenice Road

The Investment Secretariat of the Municipality of Kotor has initiated the reconstruction of the local road Risan–Ledenice, specifically the segment from Metkova Voda to the Church of St. Nicholas in Donji Ledenice, as announced by the Municipality of Kotor today.
This phase encompasses the rehabilitation and modernization of a 1,500-meter stretch, which is a significant advancement towards enhancing connectivity among the settlements in the Risan hinterland, as well as improving the tourism infrastructure in this part of the municipality. Plans include a complete replacement of the aged asphalt pavement and the management of surface water, ensuring the road’s long-term stability and safety,” the announcement states.
The Municipality of Kotor emphasizes that the reconstruction of this road is crucial for the daily lives of the locals who utilize it, and for the growing number of visitors exploring the natural and cultural wonders of the Kotor hinterland.
“During the construction period, this segment will be closed to traffic. The contractor responsible is ‘Akropolis’ from Podgorica, while supervision is handled by ‘DING’, also from Podgorica. The project is valued at 255 thousand euros, with a completion deadline of 90 days,” the statement notes.
