The women’s junior handball squad rebound swiftly from their loss against Hungary, proceeding confidently into the quarterfinals of the European Championship in Podgorica.

Montenegro triumphed over the Czech Republic with a score of 36:29, securing second place in the main round following Denmark’s win over Hungary.

The Czechs managed to keep pace until a 9:9 tie, but then the young “lionesses” unleashed a dominant performance.

At halftime, Montenegro led 21:14 and maintained control throughout, celebrating a well-deserved victory.

Maja Ceklić stood out as the most effective player with eight goals, while Mia Grujić contributed seven. Sanja Andrijašević, Elena Mitrović, and Ksenija Gašević each netted five goals.
