Mazula Renews Contract with Boston
Brad Stevens, president of the Boston franchise, has announced that the team has extended Coach Joe Mazula’s contract with a new multi-year agreement.
However, the specifics regarding the duration and terms of the contract remain undisclosed.
“I owe my position to my faith, my wife, and my children. I’m thankful for the collaboration with the owners, the mentorship from Brad Stevens, and the backing of our coaching staff. Above all, I appreciate the players I’ve had the chance to guide over the past three seasons. I am eager to face new challenges ahead,” Mazula expressed.
Mazula has been at the helm of the Celtics since February 2023, following his transition from interim head coach.
Last season, he led the team to a championship.
Stevens highlighted that Mazula not only comprehends the intricacies of the business but also possesses a passion for Boston that rivals that of its most dedicated fans.
Since 2019, Mazula has been part of the Boston coaching scene, starting as an assistant before becoming head coach in 2022 after Ime Udoka’s suspension.
