New Fire Truck for Kotor’s Protection Service

The Kotor Municipality has introduced a new fire truck dedicated to extinguishing fires in both open spaces and enclosed structures, as announced by the local government.

Mayor Vladimir Jokić was present at the ceremonial unveiling of the new fire truck, which was officially handed over to Maksim Mandić, the Head of the Protection and Rescue Service.

“This new Volvo vehicle, enhanced by the esteemed FLAMIFER company from Ozalj (Croatia), is designed for fire suppression in both outdoor and indoor environments,” the announcement states.

The vehicle is outfitted with a water tank that holds six thousand liters and features a modern fire pump capable of delivering three thousand liters per minute, enabling operations at both medium and high pressure.

The municipality noted that the truck was acquired using funds from last year’s budget, totaling 330,000 EUR, inclusive of value-added tax.

Jokić highlighted the significance of ongoing investments in the equipment and infrastructure of the Protection and Rescue Service, emphasizing its crucial role in ensuring citizen safety and safeguarding properties.

“With the acquisition of this new fire truck, Kotor is enhancing its preparedness for prompt and effective response in emergencies, especially crucial during the upcoming summer period when the risk of fires escalates,” the announcement concluded.
