France Coach Fotu Reveals Eurobasket Team Selection

Frederic Fotu, the head coach of the French national basketball team, has revealed the lineup for the upcoming European Championship, as reported by French media outlets.
The squad consists of 12 players: Isséa Cordinier (Efes), Bilal Coulibaly (Washington), Sylvain Francisco (Zalgiris), Jalen Hord (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Mamadou Zayite (Dubai), Timoteo Louvau (Basconia), Theo Maledon (Real Madrid), Elie Okobo (Monaco), Zachary Rizacher (Atlanta), Alexandre Sarr (Washington), Matthew Strassel (Monaco), and Gershon Yabusselle (New York).
Unfortunately, Vincent Poirier (Efes) and Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio) will be absent due to injuries. Additionally, Mathias Lesor from Panathinaikos has only just come back to play after recovering from a serious injury and isn’t in top condition.
Moreover, Rudy Gobert (Minnesota) and Evan Fournier (Olympiacos) will also not be part of the team.
The European Championship is scheduled to take place from August 27 to September 14 across Finland, Poland, Latvia, and Cyprus.
France has been placed in Group D in Katowice along with Iceland, Slovenia, Poland, Belgium, and Israel.
