The Main Board of the Bosniak Party (BS) has endorsed the current party president, Ervin Ibrahimović, for another term, as reported by “Vijesti.”

During the Central Committee session held in Plav, 51 members of the largest party body were notably absent, with some expressing criticism towards the current president right from the start.

“Some members of the Main Board criticized President Ervin Ibrahimović at the outset, clearly showing their disagreement with the party leadership’s direction,” informed a source from the meeting.

The Main Committee is recognized as the highest authority for political leadership and BS policy implementation between party congresses.

A source for “Vijesti” noted that key figures of the Bosniak Party, including founders like Kemal Purišić and Osman Nurković, were not present at the session.

Additinally, the presidents of various BS committees were also absent, including Edin Tuzović from Podgorica, Suljo Mustafić from the Bosniak Council, Muamer Raščić from Ulcinj, former Fund for Minorities director Emir Dacić, Haris Zejnelagić from the Rožaje Employment Agency, and MP Admir Adrović.

The Bosniak Party congress is scheduled for July 6th in Podgorica.

This upcoming assembly marks the fifth regular congress of the BS, convened by the Main Board’s decision, where 371 delegates will deliberate on a new Program, Statute, significant political resolutions, the party president, and the new Main Board.

The congress is set to serve as a platform for further strengthening the party’s personnel, rejuvenation, and enhancement of gender equality.

“The process of nominating candidates for delegates and Main Board members is gaining significant traction—many new proposals are emerging from young, educated individuals and women eager to play an active role in the Bosniak Party’s growth and modernization,” the BS previously announced.
