Sharks Discover Their Fukuoka Rivals at the Athens Draw
In July, the Japanese city of Fukuoka will host the water polo (and swimming) events, and tomorrow (Tuesday) in Athens, the draw will determine Montenegro’s opponents at the World Championship.
The “Sharks” are poised for the draw in Greece, coming from the third hat alongside Brazil, France, and Australia.
Spain, Greece, Croatia, and Italy are the top seeds, with Serbia, the USA, Canada, and Hungary making up the second hat. The fourth hat includes South Africa, Japan, China, and Kazakhstan.
The World Championship is scheduled to take place from July 17 to 29.
The group winners will automatically advance to the quarterfinals, while the second and third place teams will compete for spots in the top eight.
