Podgorica is all set to host the European Women’s Handball Championship for the U17 category, which kicks off on Wednesday, as announced by the Handball Federation.

The capital of Montenegro will be the stage for 24 national teams, including the home team from Montenegro.

The Montenegrin team is placed in Group E, competing against France, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania.

Montenegro will commence its campaign on Wednesday at 17:00 against Lithuania in the Verde Hall.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the main round.

Matches will take place across three venues: Bemax Arena, Sports Center “Morača,” and Verde Hall, with organizers ensuring all arrangements for a stellar competition have been made.

“We anticipate another memorable championship, presenting a new opportunity for the success of Montenegrin handball and creating a vibrant sporting atmosphere in the stands, allowing the audience to support our young lionesses,” stated the Handball Federation in their announcement.
