“We Overcame the Blockaders Democratically: It’s Finished, Like a Breeze”

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced today that the protesters were overcome through democratic means, granting them more freedoms than the law typically would.
“I am pleased that we triumphed democratically, with minimal physical force used in response to the intense challenges posed by the protesters,” Vučić remarked during his visit to the bridge construction over the Danube as part of the Fruška Gora Corridor.
“At times, one must choose between two options—whether to sacrifice democracy in our nation or not. We opted not to sacrifice it, allowing many more liberties than legally required, and I do not regret that,” he explained.
“When police officers are attacked, they employ only the necessary level of physical intervention to defend themselves and bring those responsible to justice,” Vučić stated.
He claimed that numerous foreigners are training the protesters in Belgrade hotels, remarking that their activities will soon come to an end.
“See you soon in Novi Sad, residents have endured months of terror”
Vučić expressed plans to visit Novi Sad soon, highlighting that its citizens have faced significant hardships in recent months, particularly due to severe incidents like the overpass collapse at the Railway Station, as well as the “terrorization” from destructive forces.
“I will be in Novi Sad soon to affirm that it belongs to everyone and cannot be destroyed,” Vučić stated.
He noted that Serbia is confronting “the most organized color revolution in Europe,” with heavy investment aimed at destabilizing the nation, but emphasized that “when a Serb senses a threat to his homeland, he steps up to protect it.”
Thanking the citizens for their “magnificent welcome,” he assured them that even after his presidency, he will continue to stand with them.
“We will achieve even more decisive victories,” Vučić asserted.
He announced plans for a significant rally in Novi Sad, indicating that there might also be one in Užice due to claims that “he is not permitted to enter there either.”
“The sole agenda of the students in the blockade is organizing harassment of citizens”
Vučić dismissed the notion that he is using the students’ nationalist sentiments to gain favor in Europe.
Speaking to reporters, he stated he “does not believe the students are nationalists” and that their “only agenda seems to be the logistical organization of harassment against Serbian citizens.”
“I don’t think they have any real agenda, nor do our political adversaries, as they lack political substance,” Vučić remarked, reinforcing that he is “not trying to appease anyone.”
“My focus is solely on issues concerning Serbia; I fight for Serbia’s interests, not for Europe, Russia, the USA, or anyone else,” he concluded.
