The police of Herceg Novi have lodged a criminal complaint against Aleksa Đekić, the former director of the Herceg Novi Health Center, on grounds of suspected abuse of official position over an extended timeframe.

According to the Police Directorate, the criminal report was initiated following orders and in partnership with the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Herceg Novi.

“The suspect A.Đ. (44), who acted as the director of the Herceg Novi Public Health Center from 2022 to 2023 and then as the official director from 2023 to 2024, is believed to have misused his official capacity during this period. He allegedly exploited his role beyond his official powers for personal gain and to benefit others, which also resulted in damages to the Herceg Novi Public Health Center,” the police stated.
