In the last two seasons, the excitement was minimal as Jadran maintained its supremacy over its main competitor, Primorje, securing the seventh and eighth consecutive titles. Starting Thursday, the much-anticipated rivalry between these two titans from Boka Kotorska will reignite.

All preparations are set for the playoff finals of the Montenegro water polo championship, with the opening match hosted by Jadran on Thursday at 19:00.

The final series will consist of a best-of-three format, with teams alternating home games. The second match is scheduled for May 1 in Kotor, followed by the third on May 4 in Herceg Novi.

If necessary, the fourth and fifth matches will take place on May 8 and 11, respectively, in Kotor and Herceg Novi.

Jadran has claimed the title of Montenegro champion 11 times, while Primorac has won it twice—during the inaugural seasons of the national championship.
